In the Maheshwaram constituency of Ranga Reddy district, Teegala Krishna Reddy contesting the 2014 legislative assembly elections on a TDP ticket defeated his closest rival Malreddy Ranga Reddy of INC by a margin of 30784 votes. Out of the total polled votes of 217299 Teegala Krishna Reddy received 93305 votes and Malreddy Ranga Reddy, the first runner-up, received 62521 votes.
